With another day comes another great set of betting lines, with the action at the best online sportsbooks centered on NBA and NHL playoff action, as well as continuing competition in Major League Baseball! For Tuesday’s foray into the best options for betting on sports, we turn our attention to the Betonline Sportsbook, one of the top sportsbooks we’ve been using for our wagers week-in and week-out here at CR. Jumping right into the available action today, the pick of the bunch has us looking to the NBA Conference Semifinal action, which carries on with a pair of great games for watching and wagering on. First up, another series gets ready for tip-off tonight, as the San Antonio Spurs prepare to host the Los Angeles Clippers for what should be an enjoyable 7-game showdown starting off with the first two games at San Antonio. While the Spurs have enjoyed a strong run of form through the first round of the playoffs and are well rested ahead of Game 1, the Los Angeles Clippers come into today’s match-up fresh off a tough 7-game series against Memphis that went the distance, and getting just one day of rest before having to face the likes of the Spurs certainly won’t help their chances of overcoming one of the NBA’s best home teams. The Spurs grab -2200 odds to win the series outright, while the Clippers are +1300 underdogs, and for Game 1 the odds are astronomical in favor of San Antonio, with the Spurs at -1020 odds and the Clippers getting +750 odds to win straight up. While the Clippers may have a tough time adjusting to a different playing style, and will likely be a bit banged up for game one, the best option to bank on the underdog may lie with the spread, as Lob City will have 11 points to play with. That said, expectations should be high that the rested Spurs will dominate in the first game tonight, as their line-up is simply much healthier, much deeper, and more veteran than the visiting Clippers.
For the second NBA match-up for betting on sports today, turn to the second game of the Miami Heat vs. Indiana Pacers series, as Indiana tries to pull back even in the series after struggling down the home stretch in a 95-86 loss in Game 1. The strong start of the Pacers in Game 1 no doubt frustrated the spread pickers who banked on an 8.5 point spread being enough to take underdog Indiana, but despite Miami covering the spread, the lines have tightened to see the Heat get just 7 points against the spread in Game 2 this evening. However, with a tough over/under at 185 1/2 points, and tough odds on the money line (-375 odds to Miami, +315 odds to Indiana), once again we’re compelled to chase the spread, with expectations that the Pacers will have a better game plan for the second half, and will be aided by the absence of Miami’s Chris Bosh, who will sit with a strained abdominal muscle. Though it’s a scrappy pick as well, temptation leads us to throw a small wager on Indiana to win straight up, since this is a team with plenty of depth, an advantage in the paint, and they face a truly must-win game to avoid going down 2-0 in the series.
Switching focus over to the action in the Stanley Cup Finals at Betonline Sportsbook today, check out Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals between the Los Angeles Kings and the Phoenix Coyotes, with LA leading 1-0 after a dominating Game 1 performance on the road. The Coyotes certainly didn’t look like a team capable of keeping pace with the fast and physical Kings in Game 1, but rest assured that the Coyotes will have a strong answer for Game 2, in the hopes that they can pull even in the series before sending it over to the Staples Center in LA. The Kings take -126 odds for the game as favorites at Betonline (Phoenix is a +114 underdog), but once again look out for the very low 4 1/2 goals on the over/under to be a tempting offer, especially if Los Angeles can come out swinging on offense once more. Make sure to peruse all your options for wagers on this great match-up of Pacific Division foes, as with each day that passes, fewer and fewer NHL games will remain on the sports betting calendar.
Checking out the last available options for online sportsbook betting on Tuesday, make sure to take a look at the best betting lines for Major League Baseball, as another 15 games are lined up with plenty of great possibilities for following exceptional pitching and/or teams on the upward trend. One game we’re taking based on starting pitching is the Washington Nationals vs. San Diego Padres, as Stephen Strasburg takes his home mound against Anthony Bass. The Nats have been excellent at home, and despite a solid season start for Bass (3.23 ERA), he’s not been given run support on the road, which will be a problem for him tonight. Expect a low scoring game to challenge the over/under at 6 runs, but also look for Washington to cover -1.5 runs at home as San Diego struggles to put up runs against Strasburg. Other top match-ups to engage with include the New York Yankees vs. Baltimore Orioles (C.C. Sabathia vs. Wei-yin Chen), the Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Los Angeles Dodgers (Wade Miley vs. Chad Billingsley), and a great duel between Tim Hudson and Johnny Cueto as the Atlanta Braves host the Cincinnati Reds. There’s plenty of great betting lines for all the available action in Major League Baseball as well as the NBA and NHL playoffs at Betonline Sportsbook, so join us today for a couple of picks and hopefully come out with some added cash in your online sports betting account.
