The next to last week of the NFL regular season starts with a meaningless game for playoff implications on Thursday, but bettors will have two games to play on Saturday followed by some important games on Sunday with big playoff implications and a Monday night game that features division leaders in the AFC.
December 18 – Thursday
Titans vs. Jaguars
Jacksonville is favored by 3 points. This matchup has little appeal, but nonetheless the game should be competitive with two equally matched teams.
December 20 – Saturday
Chargers vs. 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers are favored by 2.5 points at home. Despite being eliminated from the postseason the 49ers will give the Chargers, whose playoff opens remain alive, a tough game.
Eagles vs. Redskins
Philadelphia is favored by 8.5 points and coming off a tough loss to Dallas dropping out of the lead in the NFC East.
December 21 – Sunday
Vikings vs. Dolphins
Miami is favored by 6.5 points. The Dolphins remain in the hunt for the postseason even after a tough loss to New England.
Packers vs. Bucs
Green Bay is favored by 10 points. The total in this has moved to 49 after opening at 50.5, which is significant in such short time.
Lions vs. Bears
Detroit is favored by 4.5 points. Last year the Lions defeated Chicago in the Windy City by two points.
Falcons vs. Saints
New Orleans is favored by 6.5 points. Both have sub .500 records but both are in the race for the NFC South title.
Patriots vs. Jets
New England is favored by 9.5 points. The spread was the same in Week 7 when the teams met and New England did not cover in a 27-25 win.
Chiefs vs. Steelers
Pittsburgh is favored by 3 points. Both teams are in the playoff hunt with the Steelers a game ahead of Kansas City.
Browns vs. Panthers
This has no line until bookmakers get to see if Cam Newton will play.
Ravens vs. Texans
Houston is favored by 3.5 points. Texans lost Ryan Fitzpatrick at QB with a broken leg.
Giants vs. Rams
St. Louis is favored by 4.5 points. Both teams are out of playoff contention.
Bills vs. Raiders
Buffalo is favored by 5.5 points. The Bills are coming off a win, while Oakland has won just twice this season.
Colts vs. Cowboys
Dallas is favored by 1.5 points. This could be one of the best games of the week.
Seahawks vs. Cardinals
Seattle is favored by 7 points. Seattle won the first head-to-head battle 19-3. A win gives Seattle first place in the NFC West.
December 22 – Monday
Broncos vs. Bengals
Denver is favored by 3.5 points. Both teams lead their divisions. Weather could be a factor in Cincinnati.
