Heat (-4.5) visit Bulls in what Might Be an Inflated Line

NBA Sunday action has a number of great matchups. One of the best will feature two teams quickly become bitter rivals when the Miami Heat visits the Chicago Bulls.

Miami is coming off a tough trip to the Lone Star State losing two straight heading into a tough game at the United Center in Chicago.

The current line at Bovada has the Heat favored by 4 points while on topbet the point total sits on 188.5. The Heat is 43-16 SU and 29-29-1 ATS.

Miami is just a game out of first place in the Eastern Conference playoff race. However, they lost to Houston Tuesday night by three points as a 1.5-point road dog and on Thursday to San Antonio by 24 points as a 3.5 road dog.

Miami was an impressive 8-0 straight up and 7 of 8 against the spread prior to the two losses. LeBron James is averaging over 27 points per game for the season. However, he averaged just 20.5 points per game in the two recent Texas games.

Miami will be coming off two complete days of rest which should be beneficial not only for James but for the perpetually ailing Dwayne Wade.

Chicago this season is 34-28 straight up and 32-30 against the spread. In their past game, the Bulls lost at home 85-77 to the Memphis Grizzlies as a favorite by 1 point.

Joakim Noah scored 15 points and had 8 boards even with a painful thumb injury. The Bulls are 1-2 both SU as well as ATS over their past three games following a run of 9-1 SU and ATS prior to that.

The team playing at home has won as well as covered each of the three head-to-head games this season between Chicago and Miami. Just two weeks ago, Miami defeated Chicago by 14 points as a 7.5-point favorite at home. James did not play that game, but Chris Bosh and Wade combined to score 51 points.

One odds maker on betonline told this writer that the Heat was just -2 and that -4.5 was too big. The Bulls are very physical and usually can play the Heat very tough, especially at the United Center.

If sportsbook.com along with other shops online keep the current line at 4 to 4.5 then the choice should be Chicago.

The two teams usually play tough defense on both ends of the court in these games and the UNDER looks like a good choice in this. The two teams combined for just 168 points the last time they played head to head.
