MAC makes midweek a Bettors’ Dream, Baylor laying …

Thanks to midweek games on both Tuesday and Wednesday, bettors can wager everyday this week on football. The Mid American Conference is under the spotlight this week during midweek with two games on Tuesday and Wednesday.

These games during midweek generate a great deal of interest amongst sports bettors, but do not write the business that a major game would. However, since there are only two games, then they might do better than some matchups on Saturday.

On Tuesday, Buffalo visits Toledo in MAC action and that, said operators of Bovada, sportsbook.com, betonline and topbet could generate as much as 30% of what the handle will be in the Georgia vs. Auburn game on Saturday.

On the other hand, Ball State takes on Northern Illinois on Wednesday and that matchup could attract as much as 50% of what the handle will be for Georgia vs. Auburn.

Northern Illinois has had some action on sites like Bovada and betonline, as they opened on Sunday -4.5 and by Monday were at -6.5.

This season Ball State has been quite successful, so the game will be close.

Baylor Laying Big Points

Spreads on Baylor just do not seem big enough this season. The schedule for the Bears is getting more difficult, but they continue to lay into the double digits even against tough Big 12 opponents.

Against Oklahoma, Baylor opened at -13.5 and all week bettors laid points. The spread ended up at -17 and Baylor still covered easily. This season the Bears are 7-1 ATS.

Baylor opened this week -26 against the Texas Tech Red Raiders a game being played on a neutral field. The price was driven up as soon as it came out to -27.

The numbers will continue to stay high and even climb higher at times, until a team is able to slow them down. After the Texas Tech game, Baylor has Oklahoma State then TCU both on the road and ends the regular season against the Texas Longhorns at home.

Gator Blues

The happy days in Gainesville have ended. That was evident in their loss to Vanderbilt at home. Florida has lost four straight and are now 4-5 SU along with 3-6 ATS.

Things do not get any easier as the Gators travel to South Carolina this week. The Gamecocks were -5 in June when the line first opened, but this week opened at -13.

Already early bettors have laid the 13 and pushed the line up to -13.5.

Another week and another round of games, all of which get interest from bettors, with some much more than others, this week though the MAC games midweek give the bettor games to bet on when they otherwise would not be able to.
