MLB Playoffs, NHL Future Wagers in Store for Sportsbook Bets

It’s another  quiet day on the sports betting front, with the Major League Baseball playoffs grabbing headlines this before the start of the 2011-12 NHL regular season set for Friday in Europe gives us a chance to do a bit of research before heading into the next round of online sportsbook betting, at one of the best online sports betting sites reviewed here at Casinoreview.org. After already placing a few starting wagers for the MLB playoff games lined up for this afternoon and evening, I simply can’t resist taking out a couple more wagers on the 4 games in store, being as though there’s  really not too much else available for sports fans on Tuesday this week! Heading down to one of our favorite top sportsbooks at the Sportsbetting.ag Sportsbook, I’m inclined to first take a close look at the future wagers mapped out for the NHL season, which is in the midst of preseason play and has snuck in under the radar for sports fans currently engaged in the run to the Major League Baseball playoffs, as well as the exciting action going on in the NCAA and NFL football leagues. With the Washington Capitals getting the favorite to win the 2012 Stanley Cup at 6/1 odds, followed by the Vancouver Canucks at 7/1, the Pittsburgh Penguins at 8/1, and the defending Cup champion Boston Bruins at 10/1, it appears that bookmakers are already predicting that the Eastern Conference will be where the action is this season. With further odds available on regular season total points for teams, odds to win conferences and odds to win divisions as well, on a slow day of online sports betting like today, try something new and take a look at all the exciting wagering options ahead of what is sure to be a fantastic NHL hockey season ahead!

Reiterating the action available for ALDS and NLDS games today in the Major League Baseball playoffs, the early game of the afternoon will be the first game with elimination potential, as the Tampa Bay Rays failed to take advantage of their home field yesterday and fell 4-3 as David Price once again couldn’t get over the Texas Rangers, who he’s now 0-4 against. Today, the Rays turn  their last hopes to Jeremy Hellickson, who will need to be on point to avoid a second straight playoff ousting at the hands of the Rangers, and to avoid losing a 5th straight ALDS home game to them as well. At least the Rays have the fortune of seeing Matt Harrison once again, who they tagged for a run in his 2/3 innings of work on Friday during a 9-0 rout at Arlington in favor of the Rays. Moving on to the second of the two games for the American League Divisional series, the New York Yankees now find their backs against the wall tonight, after slipping down 2-1 in the series with Detroit as ace Justin Verlander scrapped through 8 innings towards a 5-4 victory at home. I like Detroit’s odds of closing out tonight as well, especially with the never trustworthy A.J. Burnett on the mound for the Yanks, who opposes 22 year old Rick Porcello this evening. If Porcello can control his pitches, keeping walks to a minimum and keeping Yankee runners off the base path, the Tigers will punch their ticket to the AL Championship Series set for next week.

Make sure to also check out the match-ups for the National League Divisional series games of the day between the Milwaukee Brewers and the Arizona Diamondbacks, with the Brewers turning to Shawn Marcum to potentially close out their series with a sweep if they can get past Josh Collmenter and a Arizona offense that excels at home. In the second match-up, the Philadelphia Phillies and St. Louis Cardinals engage in a critical Game 3, which will break the tie in the series and push them towards a do-or-die scenario in Game 4 for one of the teams involved. Cole Hamels, the 2008 World Series MVP, tries his hand at shutting down the big Cardinals bats tonight, while Jaime Garcia will try to shake off the nerves of his first ever postseason outing. Look for these games as well as plenty of sports excitement to come as the weekend draws closer, prepare your stats, analysis, and wagers for the upcoming sports betting available today and in the near future, and as always, good luck in all your online sportsbook betting at the best online sportsbooks reviewed and recommended right here on our website.
