Week 5 is upon us in the NFL with a number of intriguing matchups, including undefeated teams hitting the road.
Two teams returning to winning ways meet this weekend when the Cleveland Browns host the Buffalo Bills. With a win, each team will inch closer to the leaders in the AFC North and AFC East. Cleveland is coming off an impressive win over Cincinnati 17-6, while Buffalo intercepted Joe Flacco five times to register a 23-20 upset.
Pick: Cleveland 20-14
The New England Patriots take to the road with their unbeaten record to face the Cincinnati Bengals. The Patriots won a tough Sunday night game against the Atlanta Falcons on the road 30-23, while the Bengals were upset by division rivals the Cleveland Browns. Brady will add to the Bengals misery.
Pick: New England 30-17
The Chicago Bears, tied for the top spot in the NFC North, host the NFC South leaders, the unbeaten New Orleans Saints. The Saints had their way with the then undefeated Miami Dolphins on Monday night. Drew Brees will have to be at his best to defeat Chicago at Soldier Field, but the Bears offense will not be able to match the Saints high point output.
Pick: New Orleans 28-17
The NFC North leaders the Detroit Lions visit the Green Bay packers in an important early season matchup. Green Bay is in an unfamiliar position of third place behind Chicago and the Lions. This matchup will have two highly potent offenses against two defenses that are suspect against the pass, result, lots of points.
Pick: Green Bay 35-31
The consensus pick for the top team in the NFC, the Seattle Seahawks, hit the road to take on Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts. The only thing in common between the two teams is they both beat San Francisco this season. The Colts have surprised many early this season. The Seahawks have not played as well as they are capable of the past two weeks. The Seahawks defense however, will shut down the Colts and Russell Wilson will find a way to win.
Pick: Seahawks 21-13
The Kansas City Chiefs look to remain unbeaten when they visit the much-improved Tennessee Titans. The Chiefs keep rolling over all in their way, while the Titans saw their quarterback go down with a hip injury last week.
Pick: Kansas City 27-10
Denver hits the road to take on the Dallas Cowboys in a matchup of two aerial shows. The Broncos have been chosen as the best in the NFL by most, while the Cowboys are the biggest illusionists in the league. The Denver receivers will be too much for the young Dallas secondary to handle in this matchup.
Pick: Denver 35-21
