One of the best online sportsbooks …

As the weekend is wrapped up once again and Monday rolls around, It’s time to focus in on the top betting options for the new week, starting with a handful of pivotal divisional series getting underway, as well as some good trends to follow when considering online sports betting around Major League Baseball. With some good outcomes in a few previous bets placed over the weekend, and some great action in store each and every day at the best online sportsbooks reviewed here on our site, it’s back to business once again in this new week with more great MLB baseball action on tap. With the constant action offered at the top sportsbooks, there is always something to look forward to either before or after work, and an easy method to place your wagers quickly during the day. As we head down the home stretch of the Major League Baseball season and the trade deadline has now passed, we’ll begin to find even more pronounced trends, longer winning streaks for playoff-bound teams against lesser competition, and even better pitching in critical match-ups that should give those baseball betting fans even more stability on a daily basis when placing your money down each day.

While I had managed to be a very lucky sports bettor yesterday during Sunday afternoon’s MLB action, I’m taking just about the opposite tact from yesterday, and going with some favored-to-win teams in today’s match-ups, versus trying to spot upsets featuring higher odds but more risk. In sports betting action for Monday, it’s all about the Sportsbetting sportsbook (<a href=””>read the review of</a>), which has been one of our favorite places for betting on sports throughout the last two years of playing online. For opening wagers on new series kicking off today, start with perhaps the most exciting series to begin the week, as the St. Louis Cardinals face the red-hot Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park where the Brew Crew holds the MLB’s best home record. Zach Greinke will try to get his Brewers a 7th straight win, against Chris Carpenter and the Cardinals who will look to close the gap in the NL Central division to 1 1/2 games only. Out west in another key divisional match-up, the San Francisco Giants will try to stop the bleeding from a series sweep at the hands of the Cincinnati Reds over the weekend, and fend off the surging Arizona Diamondbacks who could close within a game of the Giants in the NL West tonight with a win. Ian Kennedy faces Matt Cain in a solid pitching duel, and with the Giants struggling to produce runs even with the addition of Carlos Beltran, expect great pitching to equal low run scoring, and the advantage to the Diamondbacks behind their ace on the mound.

Looking for another game with a pitching advantage, even with the not-so-great odds the Yankees command with C.C. Sabathia on the mound, you’d have to be silly not to consider lumping New York into a parlay wager at least when he takes the hill, as no doubt the 15-game winner has been beyond dominant losing only one game (in a 2-1 loss, on 8 innings, 2 runs allowed) since June 9th, going 8-1 with an ERA below 2.00 during that stretch. Seeking a Major League-leading 16th win tonight against Jake Peavy and the slumping White Sox, this is a good, safe bet to get behind by taking the Yankees to prevail in a low scoring affair with two good pitchers. In another solid pitching duel, the Los Angeles Dodgers face the San Diego Padres with Dodgers’ ace Clayton Kershaw seeking his 13th win against Cory Luebke, who after starting strong coming into the rotation from the bullpen has shown signs of slipping a bit. There are plenty of other great opportunities to take advantage of on the betting lines featuring games that don’t happen to have great pitching match-ups, so make sure to check for great opportunities for parlay wagers on favored teams on Monday, including the Philadelphia Phillies at Colorado Rockies (Cole Hamels vs. Jhoulys Chacin), Atlanta Braves at the Washington Nationals (Jair Jurrjens vs. Livan Hernandez) and the Seattle Mariners against the Oakland A’s (Blake Beavan vs. the rocky Tim Cahill). The best online sportsbooks will be the place to be from now until the end of the year for adding some excitement to each day’s MLB Baseball action, so if you haven’t been betting on sports too much this summer, now is the time to get into the swing of things in preparation for the upcoming football season and MLB post season action. Fall is creeping up on us, so head on down to our of our online sports betting sites, and get your chops up for a great sports betting second half of the year!
