Sunday returns once again in fine form for sports fans, and at the head of the pack today for online sports betting is Week 13 for NFL Football, featuring a number of interesting match-ups with playoff implications making for exciting picks at the top sports betting sites around. From the NFL to the NBA, to the NHL to NCAA basketball, there is no better time than right now to take advantage of the offerings listed at one of the best online sportsbooks reviewed here and throw out a sportsbook wager or two on the best looking picks available. To kick things off right away, we’ll tap the top sportsbook at Sportsbook.com (read the review of sportsbook.com), and with great options across a number of leagues, you certainly won’t want to miss out on at least a couple of picks at this great sportsbook, which always features every one of the top games available worldwide on a daily basis. Let’s take a look at the best match-ups in NFL Football today, and finish off with a few wagers found in other leagues getting underway this afternoon and evening.
For the first picks of the afternoon, check out the AFC West match-ups between the San Diego Chargers vs. the Oakland Raiders, as well as the Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Denver Broncos. In the first pick, Oakland has dealt with an ongoing quarterback controversy, but for Sunday Jason Campbell gets the start against a pretty solid Chargers secondary and defense in general. Phillip Rivers on the other hand has been more than impressive this season (aside from last week’s fluke performance in a defensive-dominated win at Indianapolis), and we can fully expect a bounce back performance at home against a Raiders defense that has been susceptible to both the run and the pass all year. Look for the Chargers to continue their second-half winning ways with a victory at home in this match-up. While it’s a tougher match-up to pick in the second AFC West game today, the Chiefs have dominated at home this year, cutting down the best of offenses at Arrowhead Stadium en route to a 5-0 record on their own turf. While the Broncos have a productive offense, and Knowshon Moreno has been improving in the backfield, Denver remains incredibly pass-oriented and has had problems playing 4 quarters of football in any game this year. Look out for a gritty game with the Chiefs running backs Thomas Jones and Jamaal Charles doing the most damage against a bad Broncos D, with a good opportunity to take the under wager on total points. This game definitely won’t be like the last at Denver that ended 49-29 a few weeks back.
Moving on with more NFL picks today, with the Tennessee Titans in shambles, look for this season’s underdogs, the Jacksonville Jaguars, to stymie Chris Johnson (as the Titans really have no other offensive weapons at this point), and pick up another key win to move them to 7-5 on the season. It’ll be another ugly match-up with lots of ground game, so another shot at the under wager at the Sportsbook.com sports betting site might be a proper look in this pick as well. For the upset pick of the day, I’ll go out on the limb to take the Cincinnati Bengals at home over the New Orleans Saints. No, the Bengals aren’t a better team, and yes, they seem to always give games away on turnovers (ahem, Carson Palmer), but the Saints got lucky against Dallas on Thanksgiving, and the Bengals have to win a game, right? With Pittsburgh coming next week for Cincy, they should be up for the game today and finally put away ONE quality team in a horrible season of disappointment. Hopefully I won’t be getting the ‘I told you so’ after the game from all the folks that say I’m nuts for taking them in any situation…with a few more picks worth checking out, look for the Packers at home against the 49ers, the Giants over the Redskins, Seahawks over the Panthers, and the Rams over the Arizona Cardinals.
Along with all the NFL action in store for betting on sports today, there are tons more contests to choose from when wagering on our featured online sportsbooks reviewed here at CasinoReview.org. Check out the NHL Hockey, NBA and NCAA Basketball, as well as a couple English Premier League contests on tap for today, which will make for a nice addition to a full plate of NFL Football. For Hockey, the games of the day feature the hot Phoenix Coyotes at Anaheim with Ilya Bryzgalov playing excellent in goal and looking to shut down the improving Ducks, the Philadelphia Flyers over the New York Islanders, and the Chicago Blackhawks hosting Calgary. For the NBA, check out the New Orleans Hornets at San Antonio with the Spurs looking to roll at home against a slipping Hornets squad, Kevin Durant returning for the OKC Thunder at home against the Golden State Warriors, and Phoenix looking to keep the Washington Wizards and John Wall winless on the road for a bit longer. All-in-all a great day for sports fans and sports betting, check out Sportsbook.com for your fill of action this afternoon and evening, and as always good luck!
