While Thursday comes with a little less gusto than we’re accustomed to, it’s nonetheless another great day for online sportsbook betting, especially as we approach another weekend full of great games and great sports betting options to be had at the top online sportsbooks reviewed here at Casinoreview.org. From the field to the court and onto the ice, you can find anything on our featured online sports betting websites worthy of placing a few wagers on. First off today, we’ve just got a small handful of NBA games, and the number three has always been a favorite of mine, especially when it comes down to parlay wagering. As is the case, the NBA features just three games, perfect for a parlay at the first top sportsbook, Oddsmaker.com (read the review of Oddsmaker Sportsbook). Kicking the wagering off, the Boston Celtics come off a great win at home over the Nuggets, and go back-to-back heading to Philadelphia to meet the 76ers, who have actually played pretty well on their home court winning 6 of their 7 games there. While I couldn’t possibly wager on a Sixers victory, the points spread for Philadelphia is worth taking a look at, especially with Boston playing hard last night coming in to face a rested Philadelphia crew. Next in line, check out the Dallas Mavericks moving quietly up in the world to a 17-4 record and getting a cozy draw hosting the New Jersey Nets tonight, and lastly the Portland Trail Blazers look to be another team to take advantage of the illnesses plaguing the Orlando Magic, who can’t seem to put together a full game yet with players checking in after suffering from stomach flu. If you’ve ever had that bug, you know it takes about a week to get right again, and the Orlando Magic haven’t proven they’ve all come back just yet. On home court, Portland looks to be a good pick to close out NBA bets on Thursday.
In tonight’s return to Thursday night betting on NFL football, the Indianapolis Colts and Peyton Manning look to stop the bleeding after 3 rough outings in the past three weeks, and get the even worse off Tennessee Titans, who simply can’t seem to muster any offensive strength whatsoever after the loss of QB Vince Young, and plenty of locker room drama over their 5 game losing streak. Someone has to win this game and snap their skid in this one, and the money is on Peyton Manning in this one, who needs a rebound in performance after throwing 11 interceptions in the past three outings, one of the worst stretches ever for a quarterback. While Indy will likely struggle a bit with Chris Johnson, and can’t really run the ball themselves, I like the susceptibility of the Titan’s 23rd ranked defense to let Manning open up and drive his team to victory. Even though those of us unfortunate enough to have Time Warner Cable can’t get this game (they don’t even carry the channel in Los Angeles….WHAT?!?!), it’s a great time to head to the local watering hole to catch this match-up, as only a few Thursday night contests remain this year, and anytime we can get our hands on NFL action, it’s worth chasing down.
For the NHL tonight, 8 games grace the online sports betting site at Oddsmaker.com, and after a bit of a rough and tumble day of wagering on Hockey yesterday, I’ll look for a bit of redemption taking out two wagers on the action in play on ice. Always a fan of the Los Angeles Kings at home, against the Calgary Flames, the speed of the Kings plus the solid performance in net by Jonathan Quick should get the home team a win. Coming off a tough loss at home against San Jose in a shoot-out, the Flyers should make for a solid rebound bet at Toronto tonight, with the Maple Leafs struggling to put up good offensive numbers regardless of opponents. After losing a 3 goal lead yesterday, expect plenty of Flyers offense, but no comeback from the opposition tonight. For other bets on NHL Hockey today worth a look, check out the Boston Bruins at home against the struggling New York Islanders, who look like more of a farm team than a real NHL squad, and a good match-up as the St. Louis Blues host the Columbus Blue Jackets, with Jaroslav Halak in goal for the home team (always one of my favorite goalies to wager on in a tight match-up between two good teams). All-in-all, find great options at Oddsmaker.com this Thursday across the NFL, NBA and NHL, and even look to a couple good match-ups in NCAA Basketball (including a key battle between Temple and #10 Georgetown) to finish off the sports betting options at one of the best online sports betting sites reviewed here.
