New week starts off with Monday Night Football, …

Monday night is usually a time to reflect on just how long of a work week you have in store for yourself, however lucky enough for many of us, this week happens to be shortened by the presence of the holidays, and this guy for one is just happy to be out of the office starting on Wednesday this week! With the added excitement of Monday Night Football taking place later this evening, a string of College Bowl games on tap for the week to come, and plenty of NHL Hockey, NBA and NCAA basketball on deck right now, count on one of the top sportsbooks reviewed right here to be the perfect place to make your most educated wagers for the sports action today! For starters, I’m off to one of the fan favorite sportsbooks, at sportsbook (read the review of Offering easy access to betting lines, solid odds and statistical information at your fingertips, the sportsbook has and will be one of the best online sportsbooks we use week in and week out for catching all the sports excitement online. With the Monday Night Football game, 9 games in the NBA, 7 in NHL Hockey and a total of 31 College basketball games on tap, it’s a rare solid offering for a Monday, and a great way to welcome in the holiday week with tons of sports to check out while staying in from the cold.

For Monday Night Football this week, fans get treated to a rare spectacle as the Minnesota Vikings head outdoors at home for the first time since 1982 as they host the Chicago Bears from the University of Minnesota. What was a disastrous weekend last week for the Metrodome turns into a fun and interesting game for Monday night in a cold-weather atmosphere that should make for good viewing on a Monday evening after work. It looks as though Bret Favre will get the start for the Vikings, however, being as banged up as he is, the Bears will likely look to put as much pressure at his doorstep in order to knock the old timer out of the game and turn the Vikings into a one-dimensional running offense, without the help of Adrian Peterson who looks to be a scratch for tonight’s game on the icy, heater-less turf. With a weakened Vikings pass rush ineffective lately at pressuring the quarterback, Jay Cutler stands a chance to exploit a weak Minnesota secondary, the one thing that has been lacking in an otherwise well-rounded Bears team. If Favre can stay in the game and keep throwing balls to the sure-handed Sydney Rice, Minnesota stands a shot at the Bears tonight at home. However, playing in the cold, on tough turf, it’s a scary call to put in a 41 year old quarterback that seems one big hit away from forced retirement. We’ll see how the game pans out, but the smart money is on the Bears, who are streaking towards the postseason on strong defensive play (aside from last week’s miserable performance against Tom Brady and the Patriots), and taking advantage of opponents’ miscues. Expect plenty in a gritty game on a cold field in Monday Night Football’s 15th installment of the year.

For further betting on sports today, check out games in the NBA, including the pairings between the Orlando Magic and Atlanta Hawks, as well as the Miami Heat hosting the Dallas Mavericks in the biggest threat to their 12 game win streak thus far. While Dallas maintains a sterling road record of 8-1 heading into tonight’s match-up, LeBron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh have been playing the best ball all season down the current winning stretch, and at home I like the Heat to emerge in a close battle. In other games with streaking teams, check out San Antonio looking for their 9th straight win as they host the Phoenix Suns who may be simply outclassed in every position, Portland hosting a good draw for a potential win as Milwaukee comes into town, and the Houston Rockets riding a little winning streak heading for a high-scoring showdown at Golden State tonight. With a handful of great NHL Hockey contests worth taking a look at, as well as a number of Top 25 teams in action for NCAA Basketball, Monday turns out to be a solid opportunity for online sports betting at, so make your way down to one of the best sportsbooks reviewed here and get into the fun and excitement today!
