Goodbye ’08, Hello new season of online sports …

It’s the first day of yet another new year, and I for one couldn’t be any happier about it. With an up and down year of wagering in the top sportsbooks at, I welcome the opening of a new season of online sportsbook betting with an optimistic outlook, and definitely feel the excitement of New Year’s day sports action! It’s a very special treat today for all sports fans, especially those with College Football squarely in their sites, and it’s now time to get fully excited about the 5 bowl games taking place, 3 of which are being fought between top ranked teams. For today’s start to the new year, it’s back to one the best online sportsbooks, at (read the review of BetUS).

For the game of the day, it has to be ‘The Grandaddy of the all’, the Rose Bowl. Now I don’t know if the Rose Bowl has lost a bit of luster, being as though it’s not the National Championship game and all, but with USC and Penn State going at it, any way you slice it, it’s going to be an exciting game to watch and wager on. USC gets the nod, and even though I’m no USC fan, the points look good to take them for the win today with the spread given at Another great match-up today is with the Capitol One Bowl, pitting Michigan State against Matt Stafford and the Georgia Bulldogs. For wagering on this game at, I like Georgia with the outright win, but I’m also expecting a pretty low scoring affair here, so the under wager on total points might not be too bad a call. Any which way, the folks running have got one of the best online sports books around, and any bets placed are sure to be made good on no matter what. Their customer support, prompt payouts, and firm reputation make them an immediate initial candidate to take your bets on all sports, and across a number of casino games and wagering types.

With one other wager on bowl games, a parlay wager seems in order for a small wager on some games in which I for one am not sure of the outcome in. I like Virgina Tech over Cincinnati, as VT is a much more well-established bowl team, and Clemson over Nebraska, which honestly is just a gut call. In the Outback Bowl, I can’t see how you would wager on anyone but Iowa, as they are just a better team. For one last bet today, it has to be the Winter Classic in the NHL from Wrigley Field, and if you can break yourself from football, you won’t want to miss the fastest game around, as I can certainly say that this one will be a great contest regardless of outcome. With more amazing sports betting action in the days ahead, catch me tomorrow if you can, and enjoy today´┐Żas we’ve got some serious games to watch starting right now!
