Friday Sports bets on NBA basketball, NHL Hockey

Well it’s finally here folks. The start of the NFL Playoffs is officially here, and with that comes two great choices for sportsbook betting at one of the top sportsbooks reviewed on our site. Starting the post season off with a game between two teams that a lot of people still have questions about, the New York Jets and the Cincinnati Bengals both find themselves in unfamiliar territory for the first round. With rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez possibly the biggest question performance-wise in this game, I look for the contest to hinge on whether or not his offensive line can keep him calm and composed in the pocket, and looking downfield to Braylon Edwards and Jerricho Cotchery. On the flip side of the ball, Carson Palmer will try to balance the offense and get Cedric Benson to set the tone on the ground, which will open up Chad Ochocinco and the wide receiver corps to have some good looks in the New York secondary.  For this opening game, we’re traveling to one of our best online sportsbooks reviewed here, at the Players Only sportsbook (<a href=””>read the review of</a>). Cincinnati gets the edge in this one, but I’m going with the Jets to steal one in Cinci, and move on in the playoffs.

For the second game of the day for betting on sports, fans are treated to a replay of last week’s NFC East Divisional title game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys. Putting on an impressive show last weekend, the Tony Romo-helmed attack of Dallas showed up big time, working in the running of Felix Jones and Marion Barber to compliment Miles Austin and Jason Witten out on the wings. It’ll be a much closer game today than it was last week, especially if Donovan MacNabb can count on a healthy and restored Brian Westbrook in the backfield and in the flats. If Philadelphia is to win this, Brent Celek and DeSean Jackson will also be a huge key, as the Eagles don’t perform nearly as well without big contributions from these two. For this game, I’m picking the over wager on total points at the Players Only Sportsbook, and give the edge to Dallas to win outright today.

WIth these two games providing the backbone of online sportbook betting today, don’t forget that there is even more great sports action in store, from the NBA and NCAA basketball games, to the NHL, to English Premier League Soccer (football) action. I love a good Saturday of sports and top sportsbook betting just as much as anyone, so join me today in all the exciting action, and check out Players Only if you haven’t ever taken the chance. Have a great Saturday, enjoy the playoff football ahead, and we’ll see you again soon!
