MLB wagering on the Fourth of July

For the Fourth of July, Major League Baseball is offering some great rivalries, and good opportunities to make a bit of cash online while you enjoy a nice little break mid-workweek. Professional baseball has shown that it is worth betting on today, with games today between the Yankees and Twins, Dodgers and Braves, and the Blue Jays vs. the Athletics to name a few key match-ups. Betting on sports is always a fun time when you have good rivalries, and good pitching match-ups to choose from, and I for one am ready to get wagering on Wednesday’s games to see if I couldn’t capitalize on a great day of online sportsbook betting during this brief holiday. Taking individual wagers out on each of these three match-ups, I’ve decided to stray a bit from the usual parlay wagering, and try my hand at straight up betting with a bit more money at stake. Besides, the Fourth of July only comes around once a year, and vacation time should be used for getting a little saucy with online sportsbook wagering. So a few bets are due at our best sportsbooks here at, just before the party starts later this evening.

For the Fourth, betting on sports would be accomplished at one of our best online sports gambling sites at (<a href=””>read the review of Intertops</a>), starting off with a couple wagers on National league contests. The L.A. Dodgers have been playing great baseball lately, however the Braves are looking to end a three game skid. Youngster Chuck James is a relative unknown, although his high-3 ERA shows that this kid has got some serious potential. The first wager of 10 bucks will take the Braves to win, which would be a good wager being that they play underdogs away at Los Angeles today. I’ve also got to bet again on Matt Cain to win for the San Francisco Giants, who just has to win one of these times for pitching as well as he has done all year to this point. At just 2-9 on the year, a win for this kid is not just well deserved, but in my opinion the Giants owe this kid a victory for all the previous blown chances he’s had.

My American League bets for the Fourth however will be all AL West today, betting on the Rangers to better the L.A. Angels and the Oakland A’s to get the best of Toronto. Though I would normally never wager against the Angels, they have struggled a bit as of late, and I still can’t bring myself to wager on one of the Weaver brothers. Nothing against them, other than I’ve never won a bet when either of them are on the hill. Any way it works out, it should be a great night of sports and fireworks, with plenty of solid baseball action to be had and plenty of partying to be done. Betting on baseball in our top sportsbooks is always a great time, and if you haven’t gotten around to taking out a few baseball wagers, there’s no time like now to start. With the best online sportsbooks to choose from, and a non-stop supply of games to wager on, you can count on to direct you to the right places to make the right bets on any given day.
