NCAA Tournament continues, more great online sports …

As we move into the afternoon on Sunday after the first game between #7 seed Washington and #2 North Carolina has wrapped with a Tarheels victory, and #1 Duke sits at halftime up 37-33 to #8 Michigan, we turn towards online sports betting options for the late afternoon and evening, including 6 more great contests slated for 3rd round NCAA Tournament action, as well as a wealth of sports betting opportunities ranging from NBA Basketball to NHL Hockey and more. Wrapping up a great weekend of sports action with exciting betting ticket items at the top online sportsbooks reviewed here, we shift focus to our headline sports betting website, at the Sports Interaction Sportsbook (read the review of Interaction Sportsbook) for another round of betting on sports today. Focusing on the remaining 6 games in the NCAA Tournament, as after today College hoops will be on hiatus until Thursday of this next week, we’ll start looking at the best sports betting options and pick out the potential upsets and close contests that continue to define this year’s great tournament play. No doubt you’ll want to join in on the remaining games scheduled today by heading down to Sports Interaction Sportsbook, one of the premier online sports betting destinations found anywhere on the web.

First up for sports betting this afternoon, just to get a piece of the sports betting on the Duke vs. Michigan game, we’ll place an additional wager on Michigan +7.5 points as they continue to keep this game close and finish strong, regardless of final outcome. Next up on the sports betting block, find the very interesting pairing of #1 seed Ohio State taking on #8 George Mason, who look for another surprise showing starting at the 5:15 pm ET slot. OSU gets a whopping 11.5 point advantage today, which isn’t surprising considering their recent blowout of Texas-San Antonio, and their impressive array of assets in just about any given line-up on the court. However, there is nothing like a good underdog at a great price, and for the risky, a low-dollar wager taking George Mason to pull off the near impossible is exciting at a +700 on the Moneyline. One thing is for certain, George Mason will have to be shooting well north of 50 percent from the floor to run with David Lighty and the Buckeyes today, and while we’re not able to fully support an upset, we’ll go with GM to cover the 11.5 points today to make for a good match-up.

Next on the online sports betting docket sits the match-up between #5 Arizona, the last team standing from the Pac-10, and #4 Texas, who will be favored at 5.5 points, and gets a -275 price on the Moneyline at Sports Interaction Sportsbook. With this game close to home (played in Tulsa, Oklahoma), no doubt home crowd advantage will side with Texas, which may give the young Longhorns the confidence they need to get past Arizona. In this match-up, key an eye on the freshman Tristan Thompson for Texas, and Derrick Williams for Arizona, as their contributions for better or worse will be key to the outcome of this game today. While I wish I could desperately hope that one Pac-10 team stays in the tournament, the balanced scoring of Texas will be the contributing factor towards a Texas win, but we’ll take Arizona to keep in within 5.5 points to make it at least interesting. Moving forward towards two great #11 vs. #3 seed showdowns, VCU tries to continue its run against Purdue, and in another Big East clash Marquette tries to shut down Syracuse, after an impressive 2nd round win over Xavier. When two Big East squads clash, it’s just about anyone’s game, and this one may simply come down to whether Marquette can score effectively in the face of the Orangemen’s 2-3 defense. Marquette has beat Syracuse already this year, so that confidence will be there for the game tonight, but beating a Big East team twice in a row is a feat that’s very rare for even the best teams in that conference. Marquette’s key will be their performance beyond the arc, while Syracuse’s will be keeping their defense tight and limiting the Golden Eagles’ shooting percentage. Since we don’t have an upset pick on the day yet, and this match-up has good history behind it between the two squads, Marquette at +185 is the pick-up here, with some fingers crossed. In the second pairing off 11 vs. 3, VCU is a great option for the underdog pickers as well coming in at +420 on the Moneyline, but containing JaJuan Johnson and E’Twaun Moore may be simply too much for the young Rams to handle, even with an impressive defensive side. Any which way, once again look for the underdog to cover the points spread, set at 9.0 for the Boilermakers, as this won’t amount to any sort of blowout.

As we take a look at the last two match-ups for the day in the NCAA Tournament’s 3rd round of action, #1 seed Kansas takes on #9 seed Illinois, in a game which most people hedge on the Jayhawks simply due to them being picked as eventual national champions. Surprised that Illinois has made it this far however, look for Kansas to show what they’re made of tonight in a rout of the Illini as Bill Self takes on his former team and the Morris twins dominate the show. Finally for the tournament picks today at Sports Interaction, #2 Notre Dame, led by Big East player of the year Ben Hansbrough, may simply be too much for Florida State to handle, though expect a tight game as Florida State continues to show the great defensive prowess they’ve become known for. If the Seminoles can limit the Fighting Irish’s shooting as successfully as they have on their stats line (holding opponents to 36 percent on the year, best in the nation), they’ll at least help to keep this game under the 130.5 points on the Over/Under, and could muster a shot to beat the Irish at the buzzer if they can hold Hansbrough’s perimeter game in check down the home stretch. At any rate, this game should be a great one to cap off another great day of NCAA Tournament action, so make sure to check over the betting options at Sports Interaction Sportsbook for this game, as well as all the others, and sit back for an exciting finish to the first weekend of tournament play.

Hitting up some options for further betting on sports today as NBA and NHL action continues onward, late competition on the hardwood features a handful of good wagering choices, with games including the Utah Jazz vs. Houston Rockets, Dallas hosting Golden State, and Portland heading to Los Angeles to take on the surging Lakers. Look for the Rockets to keep their run-and-gun offense going as they attack the 210 points set on the Over/Under by dictating the pace of the game, Dallas has lost 5 of 8 but can clinch a playoff bid tonight at home and shouldn’t have too much trouble with a lousy road team in the Warriors, and Los Angeles will look to their defense to shut down the Portland Trail Blazers, who have won three straight and keep climbing up the Western Conference playoff ladder. Key to this game for the Trail Blazers, should they stand any chance at stealing a win, is the fourth quarter production from LaMarcus Aldridge, which has always fallen flat against the Lakers of late. Another big key is Andrew Bynum missing from action tonight on a two-game suspension, which should make this game all the more interesting and get Portland within the 6 points given to them as underdog. Finishing off sports betting today at Sports Interaction, hockey fans take note of 5 games left on tap for tonight’s action on the ice, featuring great match-ups including a big battle between Chicago and surging Phoenix, Montreal at Minnesota, and Calgary clashing with Anaheim. Someone has to stop Phoenix’s surge, and with Phoenix not playing their best hockey at home, Chicago gets our pick on the Moneyline as part of a three pick parlay, adding in Montreal over the Minnesota Wild, and Calgary to nab a road win in Anaheim as the two battle to gain points towards the 8th seed in the West. Check out all these great contests and more for online sportsbook betting at Sports Interaction Sportsbook today!
