Kicking off our wagering this afternoon, we’re turning to the tough calls first in the NHL Hockey playoffs, as Game 3 starts for both the Pittsburgh vs. Montreal series, as well as the San Jose vs. Detroit series. Grabbing a much needed win from Pittsburgh on the road, the Montreal Canadiens will look to home ice and continued stand-up play from Mike Cammalleri and Scotty Gomez to help put a little pressure on the Penguins (instead of the usual other way around). Jaroslav Halak has again been fantastic in net, but if the Habs want to win tonight, they’ll have to balance out the offensive attack, and keep the Pens from getting to the net so often. It can only be so long before Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin start lighting up the scoreboard, so the key in this game is whether or not the Canadiens have the muscle to respond. In the Western Conference game today, San Jose rolls into Hockeytown USA riding a 2 game winning stand at home, and clearly outplaying the Red Wings in just about all aspects of the game. Joe Pavelski has been on fire for the Sharks, and stopping him will be key for the Red Wings defense today. While the Sharks haven’t played well at Joe Louis Arena in the past, I’m going out on a limb and picking them for a victory, and the 3-0 advantage in the series today, so long as the Sharks can keep Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg in check…
For Major League Baseball today, look for exciting games taking place in both the National and American leagues as the St. Louis Cardinals take on the Philadelphia Phillies with Cole Hamels facing Adam Wainwright, and the Tampa Bay Rays face the Seattle Mariners with James Shields taking on Jason Vargas in a couple of good pitching match-ups. Check out further exciting games between the Rockies and Padres, Rangers and Athletics and the Tigers and Twins, who all continue their series today. Any which way you pick your wagers today, count on great opportunities for betting on sports at Superbook.com, thanks for stopping by, and best of luck as always!
