After a relatively mild day of options for online sports betting on Thursday, the end of the week finds a much bigger offering of sporting events for sports fans to drop wagers on, as the NBA playoffs return to the forefront, the NHL playoffs feature another two games with elimination potential, and Major League Baseball gets going with 15 contests to make for great online sports betting options at one of the best sportsbooks reviewed on our website. Not forgetting to mention tomorrow’s exciting sports events as well, English Premier League Football comes on the block with a number of wagering options to be had today in anticipation for the matches ahead, and also the ever-exciting Kentucky Derby which will no doubt provide a fun and different method of wagering for fans of the track and a great, history-filled sport. However, starting off the online sports betting today with a trip to one of the best and most frequented sportsbooks in our collection of the top reviewed sportsbooks on the web, the Betus.com sportsbook (read the review of Betus.com) is our platform of choice today, eyeing the NBA Conference Semifinals getting underway this evening with a couple of very interesting and drama-filled match-ups available for sports betting. As the hype surrounds the Los Angeles Lakers and their dismal home performance against the Dallas Mavericks that finds them in an 0-2 hole for Game 3, we’re compelled to take a look at the lines for this game first and foremost, as it should be the most watched and discussed sports match-up taking place on Friday.
Not surprisingly, the betting lines have turned to favor the Dallas Mavericks, who have shown resilience and strong team collaboration in the first two games of the series, while the Lakers appear to be mired in questions about their character, trustworthiness between players, and a general sense that they’ve not put forward their best effort in the Conference Semifinals thus far. However, after watching the Lakers get booed by their own fans (seriously, a sad sight to listen to, considering what the team has brought to LA), as well as the Lakers ability in the past to overcome adversity and thrive in times of desperation, it may be a welcome departure for the Lakers away from home, where they can concentrate on getting their form together without as much home media and fan base pressure upon their shoulders. One thing may be certain here; if Los Angeles doesn’t clutch up tonight, they’ll not stand through the end of the series. With a +105 for Los Angeles on the line, we’ll put a first wager taking the Lakers to nab Game 3, and hopefully make this series much more interesting than it has been thus far (unless of course you’re a Dallas fan, and enjoying every minute of this series to date). With the second game on tap in the NBA featuring the Chicago Bulls and Atlanta Hawks knotted at 1 game apiece in their series with a shift to Atlanta, Chicago still pulls a slight edge, with a -2 on the points spread and a very low 177 1/2 on the total points. That mark is certainly understandable considering the Hawks defensive presence at home this year, as well as against the Orlando Magic in the opening playoff series and the last match-up that netted an 86-73 outcome, however with the focus for Atlanta being on getting their stars shooting better, this game looks primed to see a scoring margin more like the first game, and thus a good shot at the over bet on total points. I like Atlanta’s chances to pick up a win at home as they rebound from one of the worst shooting nights in playoff history, but look for a tight game either way that may favor taking a simpler stand on the points here tonight.
Moving on to the NHL Conference Finals scheduled today, two teams stand with their backs against the wall, and we’re betting at least one falls off the table tonight as the Philadelphia Flyers take on the Boston Bruins and the Detroit Red Wings host the San Jose Sharks. No doubt the Boston Bruins have put a lot of stake into tonight’s contest as they look to exorcise their demons from last year’s playoffs (in which the Flyers came back from an 0-3 deficit to win the series 4-3), and the way they’ve played thus far puts them in prime position to finish off the Flyers tonight at home especially considering the lack of confidence Philly has on the defensive end as well as in net. Look for Boston to surge out of the gates again tonight, and gain retribution as they handily take care of the Flyers while once again pushing the total goals over 5.5 (making for decent bets on the puck line at -1.5, +190 for Boston, and +105 for the over total). In the other match-up today, Detroit actually gets a big advantage on the Moneyline at BetUs Sportsbook, with a -145 option as all signs point to the veteran team to fend off elimination for another day. While we have to question the ability to San Jose to close out this game on the road, the Sharks have shown the ability to squeak by, winning all overtime games they’ve been involved in, and have been able to hold leads and overcome deficits to win games throughout this year’s playoffs. Detroit knows pressure well, so we’ll hedge a wager taking them to come up bigger in Game 4 tonight netting 3 goals for a +100 bet on the over team goals total, but expect this to be another 1 goal game with Detroit having the best option to hold on for Game 5 today.
With plenty of continuing action in Major League Baseball Friday brings in a switch of series around the league, look for key match-ups to offer good betting options at BetUs Sportsbook as 15 games are online for you. Notable games include Philadelphia vs. Atlanta as Cliff Lee and Derek Lowe should amount to a tight, low-scoring affair tonight, Tampa Bay continues their surge forward as James Shields faces Baltimore and Zach Britton, and Ubaldo Jimenez and Matt Cain square off as San Francisco heads to Colorado for a series between the Rockies and Giants. Looking ahead to tomorrow, scope out some of the great English Premier League Football on tap as the season continues to wind down and teams across the board fight a number of causes, and make sure to start looking over the options on the horse track as the 136th running of the Kentucky Derby always amounts to excitement when wagering on horses at one of the top sports betting websites reviewed here. It’s another exciting weekend of sports and sportsbook betting that you won’t want to miss out on, so join us today at BetUs Sportsbook for all the available betting lines and enjoy a great weekend of exciting sports action ahead!
