Making the sportsbook betting rounds to for …

With another night featuring great playoff action in the books, we turn to Tuesday, and another dose of great options for online sports betting, including a great match in English Premier League Football featuring Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City, a full plate of Major League Baseball games, and even more Conference Semifinal action for NBA Basketball and NHL Hockey. As the first big sporting event of the day is set to get underway in just about an hour, we’ll open today’s wagering options at the sportsbook (read the review of, one of the best sportsbooks reviewed on our website, and peruse the betting lines for the Manchester City vs. Spurs showdown at City of Manchester Stadium. With only 2 games remaining for both teams after this tie, and Manchester City all securing a 4th place finish in the Premier League for a qualifying place in next year’s Champions League with a win, this should be one of the most exciting matches to take part in down the home stretch of the season. With Spurs on poor form over the past two months after a strong performance throughout the first half of the season, a loss would cap a disappointing fall from grace and possibly even an exit from the European stage (as Liverpool won yesterday in exciting fashion, and jumped into 5th for the Europa League spot). However as Tottenham has prevailed in 6 of their last 7 visits to Manchester, they certainly can remain hopeful to snag a clutch victory to improve their collective confidence, though they certainly don’t get the back on the sportsbook lines, with putting Spurs at a +330 to win, and even a +240 to Draw. Though both sides are missing their biggest stars as Gareth Bale is done for Spurs with an ankle injury, and Carlos Tevez remains out until the FA Cup Final on May 14th, expect a great match with plenty of action to make for a solid first wager on the day.

Checking out the playoff lines available for tonight’s action in the NBA and NHL, 1 contest in each league should make for a couple great opportunities for betting on sports, with Game 5 in the NBA Conference Semifinals featuring Chicago vs. Atlanta as the series remains knotted at two game apiece, and for the NHL find Detroit at home against San Jose for Game 6 with the series leaning in favor of San Jose, 3-2. First, looking over the lines for the Bulls vs. Hawks game set to tip off at the United Center in Chicago tonight, unsurprisingly the Bulls are a heavy 8.5 point favorite to win at home, where they’ve established the best home record over the season and have their best level of confidence. Coming off a 100-88 loss at Atlanta though, the Hawks make the trip knowing they can win on the road (having won Game 1 103-95), though you can expect a bounce-back performance from MVP Derrick Rose, and a better defensive effort by Joakim Noah, Luol Deng and Carlos Boozer much like in Game 2 (a shutdown 86-73 victory). With the over/under on total points at 181 today, we’ll seek out a wager on the underside of that posting, counting on lower shooting percentages as both teams favor strong defense over fast-paced offense. That certainly leads to an advantage to Chicago, and while we expect a win for the Bulls on home court tonight, Atlanta should have enough presence to cover the 8.5 points, and keep this game close down the home stretch.

With the NHL Western Conference Semifinal between the San Jose Sharks and the Detroit Red Wings getting more and more interesting with each passing game, tonight’s Game 6 from Joe Louis Arena in Detroit finds the veteran Red Wings down 3-2 in the series, but holding all the momentum as their star players have broken out in the past two games to pull them back into the series. Detroit is fully confident, per head coach Mike Babcock’s press statement yesterday claiming that they’ll be back on a plane headed for San Jose for Game 7, and after seeing the spark from the entire cast of Wingers in Game 6 as they overcame a 3-1 deficit in the 3rd period to win 4-3, that claim looks to stand a good chance at fruition tonight. Though Detroit has a few injury concerns specifically with Johan Franzen out with a left ankle issue (to be replaced by veteran Mike Modano for the game tonight), Jimmy Howard in net will certainly be one Red Wing to keep an eye on as a difference maker, as he’ll need to be on point against a San Jose attack that will be displaying a much more aggressive approach to tonight’s game. We’re looking for another game with plenty of goals being scored, as both sides have great talent, speed and firepower, but hedging on the home team, we like Detroit to win on the -1.5 goals at +210. on the Money Line. Definitely make some room for online sports betting on this NHL Conference Semifinal tonight, as no doubt this is sure to be another exciting, loud and fast-paced affair from the historic arena in Detroit, right after the octopus hits the ice.

On to the final corner of the online sports betting options today, Major League Baseball features a handful of 15 games on tap at, with a number of great pitching match-ups to take advantage of and a few teams hitting stride at the moment. In a great series between two of the hottest teams in baseball right now, Tampa Bay heads to Cleveland to take on the Indians at The Jake, and will face perhaps the toughest challenge in baseball at the moment; overcoming the Tribe’s 13 game win streak at home, as they look for a franchise record 14 straight wins tonight. Cleveland certainly has a big advantage heading in, with Rays starter Jeff Niemann injured and Andy Sonnanstine getting the start in his place with a dreadful 0-3 record and a 10.67 ERA in Cleveland on his career. On the flipside, Josh Tomlin starts for the Indians, looking to build on an impressive opening to the season, and with Tampa Bay getting their first crack at him tonight, he’ll have the upper hand at the very minimum through the first two trips down the Rays lineup. Look for Cleveland to prevail tonight, with enough runs to challenge the 8.5 run over/under at More baseball action worth checking out this evening includes the match-up between Jason Marquis and Tim Hudson as Washington clashes with Atlanta, with Hudson on fire right now, and coming in with a career 11-2 record with a 1.88 ERA in 19 starts against the Nationals. On the flipside, Marquis looks to bounce back from a terrible last outing against the Phillies, and with Atlanta’s relatively low-scoring offense tonight, he should put up decent numbers to keep the overall runs down. However, its Hudson all the way for the win tonight with him being the factor for under 7 total runs, as well as covering the -1.5 runs (+110) on the Money Line.

In other key match-ups for Major League Baseball tonight, another great pitcher’s duel gets underway as the Florida Marlins host the Philadelphia Phillies as staff aces Roy Halladay and Josh Johnson square off in a battle between 1st and 2nd place teams in the NL East. Between the two pitchers over their last 3 meetings, they’ve combined to allow only 5 runs, including a perfect game for Halladay last May, and Johnson only giving up 1 earned run in 20 1/3 innings of work against the Phillies. Needless to say, runs will be hard to come by with these two games facing each other, outlined by the very minimal 6 runs allotted on the over/under. Look for the Phillies bats to get the better of Johnson, at least enough to give Halladay the win, but expect a great duel to provide plenty of excitement for a wager on this game tonight. Look for even more action for betting on baseball tonight as Oakland battles Texas in an AL West clash, Arizona and San Francisco host another good pitcher’s duel as Tim Lincecum and Ian Kennedy face each other at Pac Bell Park, and the Chicago White Sox try to get their season going as they visit the Los Angeles Angels in a good match-up between John Danks and Joel Pineiro. With another great day filled with great online sports betting options, dive into all the fun at, and as always good luck when placing wagers at any one of the best online sportsbooks reviewed right here.
