Monday Night Football kicks off another great week of …

It’s a solid night of online sportsbook betting opportunities to kick off another week of sports and sportsbook betting, and starting out with NFL football on a Monday night after work seems like just the right thing to help get back into the swing of things after a wild roller coaster ride of sports action throughout the weekend. Coming off a successful run on NFL picks on Sunday, Monday night Football remains as the anchor leg to another great week of exciting action, as the Pittsburgh Steelers travel to Cincinnati to take on a Bengals team that has disappointed thus far, but seeks to rebound against their rivals and try to put their season back on the right track. However, facing a Pittsburgh team with their starting QB Ben Rothlisberger back in action and playing better than ever, along with the best defense in the country, the Bengals have their work cut out for them, and will need to have a well-balanced offensive attack should they be successful tonight at home. The center focus for this game lies in the run game. Carson Palmer, the Bengals QB will badly need Cedric Benson to have success against the Steeler D, something that has been very tough to do by any team so far this year. Without keeping the Steelers in check, Palmer will have no chance downfield to hit his big receivers Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens, both of whom will be closely guarded by the best in the business. For the first wager on the day, I’m looking to the Betonline Sportsbook (read the review of Betonline Sportsbook) for taking a call on this one, and I’ll pick Pittsburgh to win 27-17 (my Pigskin Pick ‘em number on ESPN), and as such take the Steelers to cover the spread at 5 1/2 points. After a dismal and boring Monday Night game last week, expect a few more fireworks as Cincinnati tries to reclaim a positive outlook on the season but inevitably should come up short in tonight’s match-up.

The NBA for Monday Night features some interesting match-ups as well worth taking a wager or two on, with undoubtedly the biggest game of the evening coming as the Orlando Magic host the Atlanta Hawks, with the latter team trying to rebound from tonight’s first loss on the year at home against the Phoenix Suns. Orlando will need to lay on the offense tonight, or at least continue their strong defensive play against the Hawks, who have rolled by scoring lots of points in their first 7 contests. Boston continues on their road trip against Dallas tonight, and with Dallas not proving they can hold a lead at home, I like Boston to win tonight on the hot hand of Ray Allen. The Suns, coming off a big win should be game to win at home against the Memphis Grizzlies, I just don’t see San Antonio losing at Charlotte, and I’ll take the Golden State Warriors to rebound with a win tonight in Toronto. Lastly for sports betting on the NBA, Denver continues its travels to Chicago on Monday night, and I’ll take the Nuggets to roll through with a better team match-up and more depth leading the way. All-in-all, a great start to the week of online sports betting, check out each of the 6 games on tap for pro Basketball, as the season gets better with every passing day.

To round out the day of sportsbook betting at the Betonline sportsbook, naturally I’ll have to throw a wager on the only NHL Hockey contest of the day, between the Detroit Red Wings and the Phoenix Coyotes. Detroit remains hot, though coming off a tough loss 4-6 on the road at Vancouver, and likely will look to take out their anger against Phoenix’s lackluster offense, held together mainly by good play from goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov. Starting the six game home streak, Detroit will look to shore up its defensive play, after giving up 3 goals in the third period to lose their 3 game winning streak in the worst defensive effort of the year. Coyotes are without key figures Ed Jovanovski and Captain Shane Doan, and have dropped six of eight heading into tonight’s match-up. Look for Detroit to take full advantage, and win this one handily at home. Look forward to plenty more games in the NHL tomorrow, as well continuing NBA action to light up the boards on the top sportsbooks, enjoy wagering at the top sportsbook at, and we’ll catch you again tomorrow with more updates and picks on the best sporting contests available!
