Online sports betting features ALDS, NLDS playoffs in MLB …

It’s finally the time to officially kick off the Major League Baseball post season, as last night’s contest between the Detroit Tigers and the Minnesota Twins ended in the Twins’ favor, while at the same time putting another dose of misery on the already struggling city of Detroit.  However now with Game 1 of the American League Divisional series getting underway today along with the two games in the NLDS as well, AND two hockey games as the start of the NHL season, a solid day of sportsbook betting is available for all you sportsbook betting fans. I was fortunate to cash in on a few games last night, and today the fuel is back on the fire with a few more wagers at one of our featured online sports betting sites. Today I’m down at’s great online sportsbook (<a href=””>read the review of Superbook</a>), which was the first online sportsbook and casino I ventured to when beginning on this site. To this day, I remain a happy customer, and would recommend the site to anyone just getting into online sports betting.

For a quick rundown before the start of the MLB Playoffs, I have to begin with the series between the Twins and Yankees. Coming off a win last night, and 17 out of their last 21 to end the regular season, one might say that Minnesota stands a pretty good chance against the heavy favorite Yanks. I however, strongly disagree. The Twins play good fundamental baseball, don’t give up a lot of walks, and keep the score down, however when dealing with a team that doesn’t hardly have any holes in it’s lineup, any one mistake by the Twins pitching staff could be a game ender. I don’t like the idea of relying on perfect pitching to win ball games, and it’s going to take a lot of points to keep up with the Bronx Bombers in any game of this series. My vote: Yankees Sweep. Therefore for today’s bet on the ALDS opening game, I’m taking the Yankees to cover the spread, and also one wager in a parlay taking over on total points in this one.

With the other pieces of my parlay wager, I’m going with the Phillies and Cliff Lee, has as a pitcher has to be thanking his lucky stars to be out of the gutter in Cleveland, and on  a team that will no doubt be a top Candidate to at least make the World Series once again this year. I hope that my hunch is correct for this series, and also on the Dodgers to grab game one at home tonight in LA. For the second set of sports betting today, it’s finally time for NHL Hockey! I’ve been waiting for a while to see the teams of the 2009-10 campaign, and quite frankly praying a bit that the LA Kings are actually going to build on a very positive season last year, instead of cycling back into mediocrity like they seem to do on the regular. If you haven’t taken much stock in NHL Hockey, it’s a great time to check out a great sport, and expand you betting on sports into new territories. Any which way you like it, sportsbook betting has a little of everything for fans today, so enjoy the action in the sportsbooks and in the great online casinos reviewed on our site, and enjoy the playoff games later on today!
