Tuesday sports betting update in preparation for MLB …

It’s a quiet day on the sports betting front, as the lull before the start of the Major League Baseball playoffs, and NHL regular season gives us a chance to do a bit more research before heading into the next round of online sportsbook betting, at one of the best online sports betting sites reviewed here at Casinoreview.org. After already placing a few starting wagers for the MLB playoffs, I can’t resist taking out a couple more on this day off from sports, as if there’s not going to be any action in play tonight, I’ll double up in preparation for the excitement to come in the days ahead! Heading down to one of our favorite top sportsbooks at the Sportsbook.com sportsbook (read the review of Sportsbook.com), we’re taking a close look at the 5 games that start off the NHL regular season, which has almost snuck in under the radar for sports fans currently engaged in the run to the Major League Baseball playoffs, as well as the exciting action going on in the NCAA and NFL football leagues. The big game of the day on Thursday for the start of the NHL season undoubtedly has to be the inter-state match-up between two rivals, the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Philadelphia Flyers. No doubt a statement can be made even in the first game of the season between these two heavyweights, and for the first wager of the new NHL season, we’ll go with the runners-up to the Stanley Cup Final, and take the Flyers to pull out a victory in their first road game.

Reiterating the action available for the first round of the Major League Baseball playoffs, the early game on Wednesday features the two high-powered young squads of Tampa Bay and Texas, with two solid pitching rotations that could both go the distance. Unfortunately, only one team can prevail in the first 5 game series, and one of the best pitchers in baseball will walk away from a Game 1 win, and the other a loss. Cliff Lee of the Texas Rangers has faced an interesting year being bounced from one of the worst teams in the league, to a AL West Champion team for the first time in over a decade. Coming off a brilliant finale on September 30th, and settling in very nicely as the ace on the Texas roster, Lee does have one thing to prove in this postseason; beating the Rays. In 3 starts in 2010, Lee is 0-3 with a 4.56 ERA, which doesn’t bode too well for the first game at Tampa Bay. Meanwhile, David Price has relatively little experience this season against the Rangers, getting a no decision in a decently pitched game of six innings with 2 runs and 8 Ks. One thing again seems to come to light here, and that is the face that these two aces will do all they can to keep the score down, and give their offenses a chance to win the game playing small ball. As such, again we reiterate the solid option to take the under wager on total points at the Sportsbook.com sportsbook, and we’ll stick with Tampa to prevail at home in Game 1.

Make sure to check out the match-ups for the second ALDS game of the day between the New York Yankees and Minnesota Twins, which may be a complete opposite in terms of offensive production, but a likely victory for the home team Twins, who have just started to peak at the end of the season (something that can’t be said for the Yanks, who’ve limped into the playoffs on a Wild Card bid after being outplayed through September by the Rays). Further, take a look at the Reds vs. Phillies game, featuring Roy Halladay with the start against Edinson Volquez (a rookie to the post season). As per usual, we side with experience, and Halladay’s got it hand over first in this first match-up. At home, expect some runs on the board for the Phillies, and we’ll look for a win something to the tune of 5-2 today. With one solo game for betting on sports on NCAA Football, Troy has a big advantage over Middle Tennessee, and with any chance to wager on football this year, we’ll take it! Look for plenty of sports excitement to come as the weekend draws closer, prepare your stats, analysis, and wagers for the upcoming sports betting available today and in the near future, and as always, good luck in all your online sportsbook betting at the best online sportsbooks found right here on our website.
