National League MLB playoffs, NHL Hockey featured at …

It’s the end of another long and dreary week of work, and with it comes all the upcoming excitement of College Football Saturday, NFL Sunday, and Major League Baseball playoffs continuing onward today and throughout the weekend. With tons of new action ahead for online sports betting at one of the top sportsbooks reviewed here, I’m headed towards one of the newer additions to the family of great online sportsbooks, at Diamond Sportsbook (read the review of Diamond Sportsbook). Friday is high time that I got back down to their website and pony up some money for the two playoff baseball games in store for Major League Baseball, as two Game 2′s get underway first between the Philadelphia Phillies and Cincinnati Reds, followed by the San Francisco Giants and Atlanta Braves contest. While Friday night is a night for going out, this evening of sports and online sports betting will definitely make it worthwhile to at least make a quick pit-stop, check out the lines on the Major League Baseball playoff action, and possibly a few other bets before heading out the door once again. NHL Hockey is underway, but like any new season, cautious betting is always a preferred way to start. Nonetheless, with 6 games in store for the new season, it’s time to do some more research on for where all the teams stand heading into the first games of the year, and ride the hot streaks of the best teams coming out of the starting blocks.

For tonight’s betting on sports for the National League side of the Major League Baseball Playoffs, I’ve got to ride the Phillies until they lose, as judging by the result in the first game of the series against the Reds, the Phillies are certainly more than the Reds can handle, at least in terms of starting pitching (Roy Halladay, came out throwing a no-hitter first game out, wow). The Phillies are favorites once again at home tonight, and with veteran Roy Oswalt on the mound they are the right pick for the first piece of sportsbook betting on baseball. Moving along to the San Francisco v. Atlanta series happening tonight as well, the Giants are also coming off a huge Game 1 performance by Tim Lincecum (surprise, surprise), as Lincecum pitched a gem giving up no runs on 14 strikeouts. Yikes. For tonight though, SF will have to buck their season-long trend of not giving enough support to starter Matt Cain, who takes the hill against Tommy Hanson in another good duel. For the sake of having at least a little excitement in the first round of the playoffs, I’ll take the Braves to even the series heading back to Atlanta.

For a couple of quick bets on NHL Hockey tonight, I like the continued play on home openers, taking New Jersey at home with Martin Brodeur starting another campaign for the Devils, and also the Detroit Red Wings to take advantage of a weaker-than-normal Anaheim Ducks squad, which has been dwindling in talent for the past few seasons. It’s going to be yet another great weekend packed with Football, Baseball and Hockey, and you can count on all the action to be available at our featured online sports betting sites here at Offering you online sportsbook reviews and advice for the best places to place your wagers, we thank you for coming to see some of the best online sportsbooks anywhere on the web, and for getting into the great sports betting opportunities and exciting casino action offered on each one of the sites we review and recommend.
