Big Day for College Football, NLCS Game 1 on tap for …

There’s nothing like a Saturday afternoon and evening loaded with College Football to whet the whistle of the avid online sportsbook bettor! For Week 7 of the NCAA College Football season, a number of question marks are being raised before game time gets underway, namely with regard to the remaining undefeated teams left in the league, as well as the #1-ranked team in the nation, Ohio State, and their ability to hold such a ranking for more than one week with a tough battle at #18 Wisconsin today. As always, the sports betting action on College Football is one of the most exciting points in the entire week, so make sure to head to one of the top sports betting sites reviewed right here, take out a couple of wagers before the excitement kicks off early in the morning, and prepare for non-stop action until the final game between #24 Oregon State and Washington closes later on. For taking positions in the sportsbooks today, I’m at the WagerWeb Sportsbook (read the review of WagerWeb Sportsbook), placing the featured picks for a big Saturday of action at one of the best online sportsbooks we’ve had the privilege of playing at over the years. maintains a great-looking, bonus-induced website perfect for the skilled or amateur gambler, and if you haven’t tried your hand at this website, bet with confidence and ease right now!

Breaking down the NCAA action for today, I’m putting my stake in the ground and saying that #1 Ohio State is overrated this week, and is going down to Wisconsin on the road in one of the later games in the day. OSU has not had a stiff challenge like this, facing a Badgers team coming off a tough loss to Michigan State previously, and looking to take out their anger on the next opponent they face. Terrelle Pryor gets a true test today against a pretty nasty Badger defense, and on the opposite side, John Clay and Scott Tolzien will have their hands full with a good OSU D-line and secondary. In today’s game, the battle will be won on the ground, not through the air, and the outcome should be a fairly low-scoring affair for two top teams. On the flipside, check out #12 Arkansas vs. #7 Auburn, which looks to be a shoot-out in the making with two big (and I mean big, at 6’6″ each) top Quarterbacks in Ryan Mallet and Cam Newton at the helm of their team. Both squads are questionable on defense, but more than make up for it with their offensive weapons available. At home today though, and without anyone on defense that can contain him, I’ll side with the big runner Cam Newton to helm his team to victory, over on total points be damned! In further Top 25 sports betting action, I see good upset potential from Texas A&M hosting undefeated #21 Missouri, with the Aggies getting their shot to prove whether they are a legit team this year, or still in rebuilding mode. It’s Jerrod Johnson’s time to show whether he can lead his Aggies to victory, or fall to 0-2 in conference, 3-3 overall, and out of any Top 25 ranking for the season.

Looking further into other great games for NCAA Football and online sportsbook betting, check out a possible upset as #22 Florida tries to avoid a third straight loss at the hands of visiting Mississippi State. Oh how the SEC ain’t what it used to be. Florida simply lacks the offensive firepower of the Tebow-era, and has to be kicking themselves watching what Cam Newton (formerly a Gator) is doing to help out his Auburn Tigers this season. With neither team having great success putting up points this year, especially through the air, expect a hard-nosed, ground-centered attack with low points, and a good possibility of an upset. Speaking of upsets, I have to put my Washington Huskies and Jake Locker on blast today, as they face a big challenge against visiting #24 Oregon State, sans-James Rodgers. Heading into a brutal stretch facing 3 straight ranked opponents, it’s do-or-die for the Dawgs right now, and I’ll take my first (and hopefully not the last) bet on them to come out winners in front of a big home crowd tonight. Fingers crossed. For a handful of other great match-ups for watching and for wagering on, check out #15 Iowa at Michigan in a huge Big Ten contest, a pretty good challenge for #13 Michigan State hosting a better-than-advertised Illinois team, and a game I like outside of the Top 25 between NC State and East Carolina, which should be a well-balanced game worth checking out.

To finish up the sports betting on Saturday at, make sure to get your wager placed for Game 1 of the National League Championship Series, pitting two of the best pitchers in the league, Tim Lincecum for the San Francisco Giants and Roy Halladay for the Philadelphia Phillies, against one another for baseball’s equivalent of the showdown at the OK Corral. Expect a tight game with few hits given up by these stingy and dominant pitchers, and a pivotal outcome for the rest of the series to hinge on. With the pundits backing Halladay, I’m going the other way and taking Lincecum to be the ace tonight, as even with the huge bats of the Phillies looming (and scary), I like my chances with the guy with the nastiest stuff. Further, Game 2 of the Texas vs. New York ALCS series gets underway as well, and if that doesn’t give you a full enough boat for online sports betting options today, remember there’s even more action with English Premier League matches early on, 12 NHL games getting underway, and of course NFL football set for and exciting Sunday Week 6. Enjoy one of the most exciting weekends of sports and sportsbook bets today, check out for a great experience, and check back with us tomorrow for more updates on the exciting world of sportsbook betting.
