Onto the NFL Football games for Week 7 on hand today, this morning we have a handful of great contests to choose from, kicking off with key match-up between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Miami Dolphins in a big AFC battle. With the Steelers rolling into town having won both their away games this season, Miami losing their first two home games, and with Big Ben Rothlisberger picking up his skills where he left off, it’s going to be a struggle for Miami to pull away with a win today. However, I expect a very close game, so with Pittsburgh getting the nod on the spread, it may be worth a bet to take Miami to cover the points, as they should put up a solid fight at home (certainly better then their 41-14 blowout to the Pats in Week 4). In further early games worth taking a shot at some sportsbook betting, look out for a low-scoring affair in Chicago as the Bears host the Redskins, as neither team has been able to produce many points, giving a good prospect for an under wager on total points at the Bookmaker Sportsbook. Expect lots of sacks coming Jay Cutler’s way, and I’ll go on a limb to take Washington to struggle through with a victory.

The Tennessee Titans remain to be one of the scarier teams in the NFL, once again showing that they can win with just about anyone at the helm of their team, as their running game, combined with an underrated defense continues to put wins on the board. At home, they’ll get a test from a pretty solid Philadelphia team, but after watching Tennessee dismantle Jacksonville last Monday night, I’m prepared to ride this squad out with wins until they show otherwise. There’s some other solid picks worth taking today, including Baltimore to prevail at home over Buffalo (no surprise there), and I’m liking the St. Louis Rams as a sleeper pick over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the K.C. Chiefs to stay perfect at home in front of a tough Arrowhead crowd. I’m still buying the Chiefs even after a pair of tough losses in the past two weeks, especially with Jags starting QB David Garrard out due to concussion, and the Chiefs’ ability to shut down the run at home. Look for further games including a big NFC West match-up pitting my Seahawks against the visiting Arizona Cardinals (whose offense looks totally flat, and will struggle in front of the 12th Man at Qwest Field), Atlanta hosing Cincinnati, New England at San Diego, and Denver hosting Oakland to name a few. Rounding out the day, find Bret Favre returning to boo’s at Lambeau Field as the Packers host the Vikings, in what should be a great evening game to polish off Sunday’s NFL action.
