Thursday’s online sportsbook bets focus on Major …

It’s almost the weekend once again, and with it comes plenty of options for betting on sports at one of the top online sports betting sites reviewed here at As the Major League Baseball season gathers momentum towards the postseason, a handful of great match-ups become available every single day for online sports betting, and like any other day in late September, count on at least a few games to have serious playoff implications, and great baseball action in store ahead. As such, I’m quickly back to one of the top sports betting sites Diamond Sportsbook (read the review of Diamond Sportsbook) after getting a bit lucky and winning a couple of good parlay bets yesterday. You won’t have to look far to find great options for sports betting on this great website, as there’s 10 games for MLB action, 1 solid NCAA contest between #4 TCU and in-state rival SMU, as well as plenty of options for wagering on all the action coming up this weekend.

In Major League Baseball action for sportsbook bets today, find the action hot and heavy as the Tampa Bay Rays take on the New York Yankees, in a major battle for the American League East Pennant. David Price takes the mound for the Rays to face off against C.C. Sabathia, looking to get Tampa Bay a split in the series in New York and pull within a 1/2 game of the lead in the East. It’s a huge advantage for the Rays if they can pull off a win tonight, as their remaining schedule is much more favorable than that of the Yankees, so look for Price to be on point, and look for a tight game with very stingy pitching on both sides. Coming off a win last night and building a bit of steam, we’ll gamble on the Rays to come out victorious, if only to hopefully make the AL East run to the pennant that much more interesting. Out in the National League East, two important games take place, first between the San Francisco Giants and the Chicago Cubs, and also between the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres. With a San Fran victory on the road and a San Diego loss, the tides could turn to a 1/2 game advantage for the Giants, or vice-versa if the Padres win (on the arm of Mat Latos), look for the Padres to maintain a 1 1/2 game lead heading into the last 10 games of the season.

In a few other interesting match-ups for Major League Baseball today, catch the battle between the Oakland A’s and Texas Rangers, as the Rangers could clinch a playoff berth for the first time since 1999. It’ll be a good duel tonight between Dallas Braden and Cliff Lee, which should in turn keep the points total down, and we’ll bank on Cliff Lee to take the Rangers to the promise land in tonight’s game. Secondly, check out the Milwaukee Brewers’ young ace Yovani Gallardo, who has pitched lights out, and rolling towards the end of the season. While the Brewers and their opponent Florida Marlins find themselves out of the playoff race, at home tonight, we’re banking on the young ace to match up well against Anibal Sanchez, and get his team a win. For the last bet of the evening on MLB action, we turn to the fading Colorado Rockies, who appear to have peaked just too early this year. Facing a sweep against the Arizona Diamondbacks, look for some big runs coming out of this one, a good bet on the over total points, and a good chance for another Dbacks win.
