NFL Football, MLB baseball takes center stage for …

With action underway shortly featuring some huge games to determine who the real deals are and who’s pretending in NFL play, take a little time to peruse the offerings listed at any one of the best sports betting sites and get involved on the action for one of the best days of sports during the week!

For Sunday’s sports betting at one of our top sportsbooks, I chose (read the review of Players Only) for today’s wagers, squeezing in a few baseball games and a few football games to immerse myself in as much sports action as possible. To start off the action with NFL football, we’ll look to the early games in play, and amongst them, single out a few of the best contests between the undefeated teams in the league thus far. For starters, we’ll hedge a wager on the Pittsburgh Steelers, who seem to be able to win a game with just about anyone at helm behind center. Facing Tamp Bay, who have come out with a surprising 2-0 start, I have to call out my first legit vs. pretender match-up, and take Pittsburgh to win, even behind third string vet Charlie Batch. Once again, it’s up to the Steeler D to prevail in this game, however after two big wins to start the season, there doesn’t seem to be any team that can run or pass on the Troy Polamalu-led group, and as such, we’ll bank on a Steeler victory, calling for a 21-7 finish. Elsewhere, look for the Minnesota Vikings to avoid a 3 loss start of the year facing Detroit today at home, and Adrian Peterson to be the breakout star of this one. Look also for a big bounce back for Joe Flacco and the Baltimore Ravens at home against the Cleveland Browns, as the Ravens are upset and looking for vengance after a tough Week 2 loss at Cincinnati.

For other key games in the NFL today, and for wagers at the top sportsbook at, New England faces a pretty easy stroll through the Buffalo Bills and new starter Ryan Fitzpatrick, but with a sketchy defense, the name of the game could be an over wager on total points. A big NFC South match-up between the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons could result in a shoot-out as well, being played indoors at New Orleans, and a must-win game for both teams. I like the Kansas City Chiefs at home against San Francisco, as the 49ers haven’t proven to anyone they are a contender or can win away from home, and lastly, I’ll take Cincinnati to pull through against Carolina, who starts their young QB Jimmy Clausen for the first time. Check out other great games including the Dallas vs. Houston showdown (which could also be a huge shoot-out), The Colts at Broncos, Eagles at Jaguars, and Chargers at Seahawks to highlight a few of the better games in store for today.

Major League Baseball should also be in your sights for betting on sports today at, as a few races for the postseason still aren’t wrapped up, and a number of great contests get underway this afternoon and evening. The NL West race for the playoffs still remains up for grabs, and as such I can’t resist betting on the teams still involved, including San Francisco, who takes on Colorado with Matt Cain taking on Jorge De La Rosa, and San Diego looking to hold back Cincinnati, who could also lower their magic number to 1 with a win today. The New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays’ race to the AL East Pennant resumes today as well, with the Yankees trying to fend off the surging Red Sox, and Tampa trying to sweep through Seattle with a host of victories to pad their chances of a big pennant win, and the overall best record in the league. Any which way you choose your online sports bets today, count on big excitement, hopefully a few wins for you here and there, and a great Sunday to kick back and enjoy the show!
