Monday Night Football, MLB wagers taking hold at …

Monday Night Football for Week 3 of the National Football League season comes with a pleasant surprise after another long Monday of work, as a big showdown in the NFC North between the undefeated Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers have huge implications in a 16 game season, especially for a potential title run up North between two teams already looking like the best that the NFC has to offer. Tonight’s game will be a great one to watch, and certainly a great one to wager on at one of the top online sportsbooks reviewed on our site. For today’s online sportsbook betting, it’s a trip down to Bookmaker Sportsbook (read the review of Bookmaker Sportsbook) which just so happens to be one of my favorites reviewed here on our site. To break down the big game today, one has to take a hard look at the two Quarterbacks helming both teams, Jay Cutler for the Chicago Bears, and Aaron Rogers for the Green Bay Packers. Both QB’s have established themselves early in the season as two of the best in the business, even with less-than-ideal support in their front lines. Putting my fantasy bias aside (I’m rocking Aaron Rogers this season as my #1 QB), I’ll have to keep in line with the talking heads’ hype going on, and contend that Aaron Rogers is quickly becoming one of the best QB’s in the league, and has the poise to prevail in just about any situation. Even with a rough O-line, and a pretty strong Bears attack, I’m counting on the surgical ability for Rogers to utilize his full arsenal of receivers to set the tone for the game tonight at Chicago, and come out victorious in a close one. However, it may just stay off the field will come out the big winner tonight. Either way you choose to play this game today, expect another big Monday Night Football game, a tight finish, and a chance to see whether either of these teams is a contender, or merely a pretender in the long haul this year.

Switching over to Major League Baseball for further action for betting on sports at Bookmaker.com, find 13 games on tap as the league moves to within a week of the close of the regular season. Big flags go up for the best pitchers throwing today, especially with the likes of Roy Halladay on the mound against the Washington Nationals, Mike Pelfrey and the Mets vs. the Brewers, C.J. Wilson and the Rangers against Seattle, and Clay Buchholz for Boston against Mark Buehrle and the Chicago White Sox. Make sure to keep in mind the divisional races as well, as the AL East is not wrapped up by any means, as is also the NL West. With a day off for the San Francisco Giants, San Diego could move ahead by a half game with a victory at home against the Chicago Cubs, and as such, we’ll take the Padres to win tonight, even against Carlos Zambrano, who has been improving in every game. Elsewhere, Colorado may be out of the playoffs finding themselves 4.5 games back today, but count on Ubaldo Jimenez to rack up win #20 in a great season, and defeat the visiting Dodgers and Ted Lilly tonight. The Yankees get a tough draw on the road against the Blue Jays, meanwhile Tampa continues it’s easy fade into the postseason against Baltimore, and as such, we’ll hedge wagers on Tampa and Toronto to win, which will put the Rays up 1 1/2 games in the AL East heading into the last week of play.

It’s going to be a great week for Major League Baseball ahead, as October roars forward with all kinds of great playoff match-ups, and great opportunities for betting on sports.
