Major League Baseball in final week, great online sports …

After another exciting night of Monday Night Football in the NFL resulting in a close 20-17 win for the Chicago Bears over the Green Bay Packers, Week 3 of the NFL comes to a close giving way to more online sportsbook betting for Major League Baseball. It’s been a wild run towards the playoffs this year, as a few divisional races still remain hot, along with some excitement as teams rally to fill in the final two Wild Card spots remaining in the National and American Leagues. With Philadelphia securing their 4th straight divisional title, the remaining battles to pay attention to this week include Tampa Bay and the New York Yankees battling for the AL Pennant, and/or the Wild Card spot in the American League, as well as Cincinnati, who can clinch the NL Central tonight with a victory at home over the Houston Astros. Further, the NL Wild Card race remains hot with Atlanta and either San Diego or San Francisco filling the final playoff spot (with those two teams also looking to claim the wide open NL West Pennant). Even with a number of teams having clinched their divisions already, expect strong performances down the home stretch from them, with plenty of great opportunities for online sports betting throughout the last week of MLB play.

For online sportsbook bets on Tuesday, look to 15 more MLB games to whet your whistle at one of the best sports betting sites reviewed here at Today we’re swinging over to the simple yet efficient website at, which features all the Baseball games available, as well as a host of interesting matches taking place in the UEFA Champions League in Europe today. We’re starting off with wagers on the MLB, to lock in a couple of favorable match-ups taking place later on this evening. Starting with the divisional races still in play, the New York Yankees look to get even after a tough loss on the road last night to the Toronto Blue Jays, who are always a handful playing at home, and looking to be a spoiler this year. However, with C.C. Sabathia on the mound for the Yankees, it’s going to be a much tougher call to decide the outcome (versus yesterday’s A.J. Burnett start, as he’s been horrible all season long for the Yanks). However, we expect a Yankee rebound, and as such, the spread at -1.5 for the Yankees looks like a decent wager today, especially if adding into a parlay wager. In the second game of the AL East contenders, Tampa Bay once again gets a good draw against Baltimore, with their ace David Price taking the mound looking for his 19th win on the year. While Price has only faced the Orioles once this year (a 9-1 victory, 4 hits over 7 innings), we’ll bank on his great precedence to pull in a win and beat the -1.5 spread there as well. With the Yankees dropping 5 of their last 6, the nod for the pennant looks to be going Tampa Bays’ way, and this week will be a great one to keep watch of the two best records in baseball!

Moving around the league to the National side of things, Cincinnati can clinch behind Edinson Volquez, who has been throwing well since coming back into the rotation, and will be fighting for a spot in the playoff rotation (which looks to be inevitable, barring a complete meltdown for the Reds in the final week). Against the Astros, we’ll bet to keep the points down under the 7.5 point line in the sand, and watch for the Reds to clinch their first division title in 15 years. Moving across the league to the West, find the San Diego Padres at Mat Latos facing the Chicago Cubs at Petco Park, and if there is ever a time the Padres need their star pitcher to come up big, today is the day. Facing a pretty good pitcher in Ryan Dempster (coming off a terrible start against San Fran), look for a tight game with low scoring, as Chicago always loves to play spoiler. On the flipside of the NL West Pennant race, it’s up to Jonathan Sanchez to pull through for the San Francisco Giants, as he gets a favorable match-up for online sports betting against Rodrigo Lopez, who has been lit up against Giants bats twice this year already. Other big games to get around for online sportsbook wagers at include Roy Oswalt and the Phillies against the Nationals, Tim Hudson and his Atlanta Braves trying to clinch a Wild Card seed, facing a tough Anibal Sanchez and the Marlins, and a good pitching duel between Randy Wolf and Mike Pelfrey as the Brewers meet the Mets.
