Two More NFL Games On Tap Sunday

Two more NFL preseason games are on tap for football fans Sunday. This is the second week of the preseason, but remember it is just preseason, do not expect regular season passion or play.

This week started Thursday with a single game. On Friday there were four and on Saturday eight. Sunday end this second week with just two games.

Sunday’s two games feature the Denver Broncos versus the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs versus the Carolina Panthers.

According to Bovada and betonline, San Francisco is a 3.5-point favorite over the Denver Broncos. The point total at the moment is sitting on 40.

The two teams will face off during the regular season so do not expect either one to show too much of their hand in this preseason game.

San Francisco lost its opener in the preseason 23-3 to Baltimore with its offense coming to a standstill once Colin Kaepernick left the game.

The starting quarterback for the 49ers will not see much action in this game, thus Blaine Gabbert will run the show under center.

Peyton Manning hit 10 of his 13 passes in his first preseason game last week for Denver. In his two first seasons with Denver, he has averaged almost 20 passes during the team’s second preseason game. However, do not expect that many on Sunday.

The 49ers are 8-5 ATS during the preseason since 2011. The Broncos are 6-7 ATS during the tenure of head coach John Fox.

According to topbet and sportsbook.com, the Carolina Panthers are favored by 3.5 points over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night. The point total for the game is sitting on 39.

Cam Newton the quarterback for the Panthers will make his debut in the preseason on Sunday after he sat out the entire opener versus Buffalo.

With Newton, the offense for Carolina scored 3 touchdowns and convert 10 of its 17 third downs.

Kansas City scored 41 points versus Cincinnati last week, but three of Chiefs five TDs were returns.

The Chiefs also allowed six sacks. Key offensive linemen were lost by the Chiefs during free agency, most notably Branden Albert at left tackle.

Under head coach Ron Rivera, Carolina is 4-1 SU and ATS as a favorite during the preseason.

The past three preseason games for the Chiefs have cashed OVER.

I like the UNDER in this matchup since the Chiefs are planning to play their first time defense the complete first half. A regular season game would likely be at 41, so the 39 on this game feels high.
