Updated NFL Futures Show Green Bay with Shorter Odds

The NFL season will kick off in less than two months when the Seattle Seahawks host the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night football September 4.

The Packers are beginning to move in the NFL futures on Bovada and topbet. Green Bay has seen its odds shortened to just 12 to 1 to win the Super Bowl in February of 2015.

Nevertheless, the Seahawks are at 5 to 2 while the San Francisco 49ers still at 7 to 2 on betonline and sportsbook.com, making them the favorites to be the NFC representative in the next Super Bowl.

Seattle is currently 5 to 1 and San Francisco 7 to 1 to win the Vince Lombardi trophy.

This should not come as any surprise considering the two teams are thought to be two of the most complete in the NFC and for that matter in all of the NFL.

However, do not overlook Green Bay.

That message is getting across to many bettors as Green Bay has seen its odds to be the NFC Conference champion shrink to 6 to 1 from 8 to 1 on many online wagering sites.

The Packers also saw their odds to win the Super Bowl shorten to 12 to 1 from 16 to 1.

On a number of online betting venues, the Packers are second behind just Seattle in the number of futures action received on the club.

Other sites online also have the Packers as low as 8 to 1 to win the coveted Vince Lombardi trophy.

Not only will it be difficult for the Packers to win the NFC crown but also it will be very hard to win their own NFC North division. Nevertheless, the Packers are 2 to 3 to win the division over the Chicago Bears at 3 to 1, the Detroit Lions at 3 to 1 and the Minnesota Vikings at 25 to 1.

Green Bay has also seen its win total for the season increase to 10.5 from 10 on most sportsbooks online.

Despite being knocked out of the postseason by San Francisco in the last two consecutive seasons, Green Bay, as long as Aaron Rodgers is guiding them at quarterback, remains one of the most dangerous contenders to win the Super Bowl.
